What To Bring

Please Bring The Following Items

  • Exercise clothes and swimsuit including a one-piece swimsuit for women.
  • Comfortable clothes for 7 days including walking shorts, t-shirts, sweats, pajamas and robe. Please no tank tops, short shorts or midriffs. We provide washer/dryer on-site.
  • Walking/exercise shoes, other comfortable shoes, sandals for summer or warm slippers for winter.
  • One or two “dressy” outfits for Family Night.
  • Socks and undergarments (several pair).
  • Sweater/jacket for fall-spring.
  • Summer wear:
    -light jacket/sweatshirt
  • Winter wear:
    -warm socks
    -heavy coat
  • Personal hygiene items: deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, liquid body wash, shaving supplies, hair products, shampoo/conditioner, feminine products,. Blow dryers and curling irons are welcome. Please note for hairspray and mouthwash: No products containing alcohol will be allowed.
  • Prescribed medications and written prescriptions for any approved medications.
  • Health insurance card and driver’s license or other official forms of identification.
  • Medical records or previous treatment records, if available.
  • Credit card for medical co-payments, prescriptions or any other essential personal item as needed.
  • Contact information for emergency contact, personal physician, psychiatrist, psychologist and/or therapist.
  • If you have a special comfort like a small blanket, stuffed animal or pillow to bring a sense of home, please bring it! Pictures of loved ones are also welcome.

Optional Items

  • Watch or small alarm clock
  • Journal, personal address book, stationary, stamps, approved books.

Note: Management will hold valuables while you are in treatment (wallet, money, keys, phone, etc.). Notebooks and other program-related materials will be provided. Residents also have the use of a dedicated house phone. Treasure Valley Recovery cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen personal items. While we make every effort to keep items safe, it is best if valuables are left at home.

Do Not Bring

  • Weapons of any kind.
  • Exercise equipment.
  • Any drugs or alcohol.
  • Cigars, pipes, cloves, etc.
  • Incense or candles.
  • Electronic equipment.
  • Clothing that is revealing or that depicts alcohol, drug, sexual, derogatory or offensive messages or logos.
  • Aerosol cans or any other items that contain alcohol.
  • Exercise equipment.
  • Excessive cash or jewelry.
  • Books or magazines that contain alcohol, drug, sexual, derogatory or offensive content.
  • Self-tanning products, tanning oils, hair dye or bleaching products.
  • Any medications not pre-approved or without prescription.
  • Herbal supplements, sleep aides, body-building or weight-loss supplements. Note: We provide a multi-vitamin.
